Artsakh Homes

Rebuilding Communities

On September 19, 2023 azerbaijan launched an attack against the Armenians of Artsakh.

The 150,000 Armenian inhabitants of Artsakh had already been under an azerbaijani blockade for 9 months.

Cut off from electricity, gas, food, water, and medicine, the azerbaijani bombings and attacks forced the Armenians of Artsakh out of their ancestral homes.

Over 150,000 Armenians have been forcibly displaced.

NO ARMENIANS LIVE IN ARTSAKH TODAY

Lorik Fund is providing permanent homes in Armenia

to families from Artsakh.

10 Families have already received homes.

  • What is the average cost per family?
The average cost per family is $25,000. This includes the purchase of a home, necessary repairs and changes, furniture & appliances, and financial assistance to acquire tools or training.
  • Can the beneficiary sell the home?
NO. Families will be offered the opportunity to receive homes free of charge, enabling them to enjoy all the rights and privileges of homeownership, except for the option to sell or rent out the property. Lorik Fund acquires the home, completes any necessary renovations, and provides essential furniture and appliances. A contract is established between the non profit and the beneficiary, stipulating that the home must remain the family's primary residence and cannot be sold or rented out. After ten years the home will be signed over to the family.
  • How are beneficiaries chosen?
After providing homes to 10 families from different regions across Artsakh, Lorik Fund is prioritizing housing for families of fallen Heroes from 2023. Families facing the greatest hardships are prioritized.
  • How many families have received a home?
Ten families have been provided a home so far.
  • Where are the homes located?
Most of our homes are located in the Lori region of Armenia with a majority of beneficiaries living within minutes of each other. Five families are in the same village.
